The world is full of different beauty trends, and everyone wants to be able to follow the new style. Beauty trends go back years and years, and they keep changing year after year. There are trends that die out and become history. Then there are some trends that die out and come back years and years later. Though some trends die out and come back, there are always new trends that appear everyday. Well here are some trends that might just start to appear in 2018.

One trend that is going to make a come back in 2018 is long hair. In New York, one major runway started to see the return of the hip length hair. Though it is not only in the fashion runway where long hair is starting to make a come back. Extremely long hair is starting to make a come back from Kim Kardashian West to the the Victoria’s Secret Models. How ever 2018 isn’t the only time long hair is making a come back. Back in 2016 one of the trends was sleek and straight, it was a flash back to the 1970’s. Long, poker straight classic hair style created from the hippie loving self – awareness, flower child days. In 2016 celebrities like Sofia Vergara and Jennifer Aniston wore their hair in the same way. They showed that no matter how old the style is works just as well during the modern era. So is extremely long hair going to make a come back in 2018? We will just have to wait and see for ourselves.

Eyeliner is always in style, but in 2018 could dramatic eyeliner be the next best thing? At Marc Jacobs, makeup artist Diane Kendal decided to improve the the 1960’s cat-eye style eyeliner. With a new style of onyx-edged pop of pastel, fingerprint smudges and rounded out, glittering wings. Some say that eyeliner is all about exaggerating the wing with a super pointy tip. However, makeup artist Diane Kendal is not the only one follow the craze of dramatic eyeliner. From Louis Vuitton to Versace, getting in on the trend of dramatic eyeliner is something we will definitely see in the 2018 Cruise show. Though, many agree that using eyeliner can become messy, there are some who just plan on sticking to the natural look. A little foundation, lipstick, and switching out mascara for eyelash extension. Though having eyelash extensions does not mean you can have eyeliner as well. Everyone just has their own taste in fashion and how it looks on them.

Is pink the new color? While millennial pink is constantly welcome, it seems like a new hit hair color is 2018 is going to be “Rose Quartz”. Though the trend of unicorn hair is here to stay, rose quarts just might become the new trend according to fashion designer Alexander Wang. The fashion designer who went from bleached blonde hair to bowl cuts, is now hoping to have rose quart hair be the new trend in 2018. From blonde to rose quartz model Stella Lucia went through an eight hour process to the desired color. Ballet Pink, East Village Violet and Midtown Magenta were the colors that were use to get the rose quartz color hair. The color made a huge impact out on the runway, all eyes seemed to be glued on Stella Lucia. It was said that Wang just wanted to show what real girls look like the in real world today.

Are we bring back the old hair accessories again? It seems as if scrunchies and exaggerated bows where anything but shy at the 2018 Spring runway. From turbans, headbands, ticks roof, hair ribbons, hats, to tools for hair implants, these all seem to be the new trend that will arise in 2018. Seen on the runway, from the simplest hair pieces to the most complex, is it really possible for these to be the new trend in 2018? Turbans covering the whole head, to hats that hides half of the face, is it possible to adapt to these style? Headbands with bow larger than our face, to two feet long hats, it seems as if the trends are just getting bigger and better each year. However, some of the hair accessories from small hair clips to scrunchies are small but make a big difference in an outfit. Maybe it the small things that count not the big ones.

Last but not least, the latest style coming in 2018 is red lips. Though, it seems that the craze with lipstick never really died out. So is it really a new trend, or is it just a come back? We’ve gone through the phase of black matte lipstick, to holographic style lipstick. Are we now bringing back the old style of pure red lipstick? Sometimes we just need a quick change in the way we do things. And it could just easily be the change of our lipstick, and how we apply it. Many think back to Marlin Monroe when they hear old style of lipstick, but on the runway this year, there just happens to be a slight twist. At Helmut Lang, a there was a twist on the classic red lips. It just happens to be the weeks most thrilling beauty moments as well. It was not just a single shade of red all the way through, but rather an ombre that went from a ripe cherry center to a merlot at the outer lips. Helmut Lang was not the only one to make a come back with her red lips. Actress Naomie Harris swapped out her colors for a change, instead of going with dramatic eyeliner, she kept it simple. Swapping the dramatic eyeliner for a natural look, a high shine pink to a matte crimson lip color. Minimal change but it made a for a big effect, at the gala in Geneav. It might be old style, but it seems like red lipstick is coming back in old ways and new ways, and it might just stay for a while.
